A Chinese woven silk woven tapestry of children at play with inscription and seal marks. The tapestry was mounted on a paper scroll and bordered with silk brocade. Scroll bars are missing. You may want to to consider framing or remounting the tapestry. The tapestry is in excellent condition, detailing is also excellent. Tapestry only measures 22" x 11". Dates 1930's.

Mid 19th C Staffordshire figurine of a tailor riding a goat with 2 kids in a basket. Inspired by Meissen' s Tailor of Count Bruhl figurine, the goat is carrying an iron in her mouth while the tailor is holding a small roll of material in his hand. This is of-the-period, not a reproduction, and is an excellent piece for the collector or one who values original antique Staffordshire. Measures: 5 1/8 inches high, 3 5/8' long x 2"

Unusual antique French Limoges gold trimmed porcelain oyster plate depicting different sea grasses. In excellent condition, it measures 9.5" diameter.

NOTE: A very interesting technique was used to create the effect of underwater movement. They 1st printed the image in light green, then printed the same image in dark pink over it, but slightly offset. Where the images overlapped, it created a 3rd color, brown, which establishes the main part of the plant.

Circa 1870, brown transferware platter, Staffordshire Nanking pattern, by E. Challinor. In very good condition, there is some crazing commensurate with age and some staining, most notably on the back. Measures about 18 inches long, 14" high, and 1.5" deep. Hanger included.

Porcelain Chinese figurine of Tsao Kuo Chiu, who is a patron saint of theatrical profession. Richly decorated in polychrome enamels, Tsao Kuo Chiu is one of the 8 Immortals. We have never seen a theatrical monkey at the base, but he is a nice addition to this very unique 19th century Chinese figurine. Marked CHINA on the bottom, we are dating him Circa 1900. In excellent condition, he measures 7.5 inches tall.

Late 19th Century Japanese cloisonne bronze charger with a flock of flying cranes. Beautifully designed, it measures 12 inches in diameter. There are a few stress marks in the upper left side, please study last photograph where I have enlarged and highlighted the area through photoshop. It is not as evident in person. Late 19th century Japanese porcelain trumpet vase decorated on a rose or bright puce ground with a long-tailed bird perched amongst trees and flowers. The interior rim is decorated with small flower sprays and on the base is a painter's mark. In very good original condition, it measures 12.% inches high, 7.5" mouth diameter, 5.5 base diameter.

Beautiful antique English sewing etui containing antique sewing paraphernalia and a perfume bottle. In the shape of a small book titled "Lady's Companion", the box is brown leather with gold gilt embossing and is lined with red velvet and paper. There is a small lift-out compartment that once held thread, small bobbins. etc. A cardboard with notes has written in graphite the date "December 26, 1852". Nantucket woven rattan basket or purse having 2 scrimshawed ivorite plaques, one features a sailing ship with the inside plaque featuring Marblehead Harbor. This basket has a swing handle, leather hinges and a wood base. Made in Rhode Island, it is signed Farnum on the bottom and a penny glued inside dates the basket 1996. Measures 11" long x 8" high with the handle down.

Exceptional Moser cut to clear 6 sided cranberry red stem glass. Each panel has a raised hand cut medallion. 5 medallions feature finely hand cut and gold gilded bouquets of different flowers. The 6th is monogrammed. Probably used as a wine glass, this is truly an amazing work of art. Dates around 1910, and measures 5.25 inches high.

A rare sake-daru (Sake Keg) made of piled woven bamboo in combination with Japanese red lacquered pine. This tsuno-daru has two horn-like staves with inscriptions, a cross piece forming a carrying handle, and a wooden plug that pulls out. This saki barrel dates pre 1920. Sake casks such as this were prepared by sake factories to be used for special ceremonial occasions in the late 19th to the early 20th centuries. In excellent condition, it measures 21” tall and 7” in diameter.
