Chinese 4th Rank Court Official's silk badge of a wild goose. The background is black silk and is embroidered with very fine metal threads. The sun and its tendrils are silver foiled threads tacked down with red silk threads. The flowers are also silver but tacked down with green silk threads. An unusual large Japanese bowl featuring three light purple elephants in ceremonial attire resting among many flowers. The bowl is excellent condition, except for some wear to the gold around the rim. Measures 11.5 inches in diameter. Dates late Edo, late 1840's.

Purchased over 40 years ago at Restoration Hardware, this archaic style bronze ram's head was the only piece they had in their store. I suspect it was a decorative item that RH purchased as an accent piece for one of their room settings. The holes on this reproduction ram indicates that the original bronze ram was affixed to an instrument. An impressive piece, this was probably made in the first decade of the 20th C Measures 14" long, 7.5" high, and 12" across the horns.

Chinese Blanc de Chine Quan Yin seated on a resting elephant. Quan Yin, goddess of great compassion, is holding 2 lotus flowers, one of which is broken symbolizing a broken spirit. She is holding both pieces of the stem in her hand. The lotus symbolizes purity, spiritual enlightenment, and in this case, new beginnings or rebirth. Excellent detailing and in excellent condition, it dates end of 2nd quarter 20th century. Measures 7.5ʺ wide × 4.5ʺ deep × 12ʺ high.

Presented is a large Jardiniere (1 of 2 offered) of a rustic but well known and designed theme of a dragon, phoenix, rooster, and peony. The dark green glaze is well aged and in pristine condition for this mid-19th century or earlier artifact of interest. Circa 1750. A very beautiful and petite vegetable tureen. This is just gorgeous, with bright colors and well painted florals, all of which is beautifully intact. The only damage is the one handle has been re-stuck. A hand woven Chinese kossu tapestry with gold foiled tread accents depicting a day of leisure in Chinese life. A scholar is studying in a pavilion, 2 people are walking by a fence, and 2 men are fishing. The background is blue and the color is even throughout. Presently, it is out of frame. Pair of early 20th C Tiffin yellow Vaseline glass candle holders with barley twist stems supported by a bell base with an etched floral design. All my photos are shot in natural light against a white or black background. The candleholders are heavy in weight and look much better than I could capture in the photos. A fine example of an early 20th century Chinese enamel cloisonné baluster form vase decorated with intricate foliate and vine patterns in an arabesque style design. The pattern, in shades of blue, is displayed over a pale turquoise ground accented by gold gilt base and neck. In excellent condition, it measures 12.5" high
