Mexican Folk Art Day of the Dead La Catrina beaded statue with a rotating skull. Decorated with thousands of tiny beads, each was hand placed one by one, to create sacred designs and patterns of the ancient Huichols. Made by Huichol artisans from the Sierra de Nayarit in Mexico, this piece took months to make. Base is terracotta and it is in excellent condition measuring 3 feet high, 11" deep, and 8" across.

A pair of Oggetti Murano glass palm tree candle holders using gold leaf technique. Made in Italy, circa 1980-90s, they still retain their original labels. Each piece is individually hand blown and there is some variation between the two. In excellent condition, they measure 12" high.

A Japanese Kutani porcelain Koro or incense burner, with a round body raised on three animal-mask legs and applied with shishi-mask handles. The domed, pierced cover is surmounted with a further shishi. The whole decorated in overglaze enamels with peacock and golden pheasant amid rocks and peonies, all on a yellow "roe" ground. A large cast bronze Department 56 recumbent pig used in a store or window display to feature their Jam Bon Farmhouse china collection (See last photo of same pig as a Dept. 56 Jam Bon butter dish). The Japanese hakama is pleated skirt-like pants that is worn over a full length kimono. Hakama pants originated as an outer garment to protect a samurai warrior’s legs from brush when riding a horse. Today, the hakama is worn as formal attire for Japanese wedding ceremonies (see last photo), dances, and martial arts (specifically, black belt students and Juijitsu practictioners). An unusual pair of Chinese cloisonne vases with flowers in vases, coins (wealth), peaches (longevity), peppers, and censers on depicted in deep vibrant colors. In excellent condition, they measure 6.5" high.

A beautiful Japanese red lacquer sake pot with stand. Decorated with sprigs of pine branches in accents of gold, it is in excellent condition. Measures 11" high by 5" square.

A very nice Chinese hardwood lid for a jar. Wood unknown, but is the color of a dark rosewood. In excellent condition, the lid measures 3.25" diameter by 2.25" including finial. Fits an opening 1 5/8th inches or larger".

Ornate English sterling silver picture frame by Keyford Frames. Featuring a heart-shaped opening with with cherubs at each corner, the frame is hallmarked KFD. Backed in very dark purplish blue velvet, it stands 7.5" high at the highest point x 5.5" wide. The heart-shaped opening will hold a 4" wide x 5.5" high photo. A little wear to the velvet at the bottom, otherwise in excellent condition.

A stunning pair of gold gilt mirror image cloisonné hat stands. An exquisite Japanese silk haori with a wintery skiing scene featuring tickets from Tokyo to Akaura and from Kyoto to Ibuki. Made of habutae silk a with woven lining, it can be worn or displayed with either side facing outward. The outside is solid black with 5 mons (family crests).
