Mid 19th C Staffordshire figurine of a tailor riding a goat with 2 kids in a basket. Inspired by Meissen' s Tailor of Count Bruhl figurine, the goat is carrying an iron in her mouth while the tailor is holding a small roll of material in his hand. Although not marked, this art glass piece bears the styling and quality of Victorian pieces made by the Stevens and Williams Ltd of England and in the 1870s under the direction of John Northwood (son Harry Northwood was a glass maker in America). An unusual Tibeto-Chinese cloisonne gau box having a domed and hinged cover with a multi-colored scroll pattern surrounding a central cartouche. The cartouche features the Tibetan character “hum” which translates as “the spirit of enlightenment” or “the enlightened mind”. This gau would have been worn by a high ranking lama. Mexican Folk Art Day of the Dead La Catrina beaded statue with a rotating skull. Decorated with thousands of tiny beads, each was hand placed one by one, to create sacred designs and patterns of the ancient Huichols. Made by Huichol artisans from the Sierra de Nayarit in Mexico, this piece took months to make. Base is terracotta and it is in excellent condition measuring 3 feet high, 11" deep, and 8" across.

Lovely hand painted Japanese Kutani tea caddy with inner lid. The jar features birds in flight, a slight crackle finish, gold accents, and is in excellent condition.
