A large cast bronze Department 56 recumbent pig used in a store or window display to feature their Jam Bon Farmhouse china collection (See last photo of same pig as a Dept. 56 Jam Bon butter dish). Dating from the early 1700s before Meissen starting using their cross swords logo is this very rare Meissen porcelain cameo vase. The applied bisque cameo features the goddess Venus looking into a mirror. In very good antique condition, the only evidence of age is wear to the gold gilt. We have not attempted to clean the vase. Measures 9 inches high, about 4.5" diameter at widest.

Circa 1900 Japanese ivory netsuke of a Kappa creature on the back of a catfish. According to Japanese folklore kappa were the size of a small child, but with the strength of many men and lived in streams, ponds, and rivers. Hand carved and artist signed, please note this kappa's facial and eye details. He also features a dish type indentation on the top of his head for holding water when on land. Measures 2.75 inches long

1940s - 1950s, Chinese moss agate low slung lotus style brush washer. The moss agate shows nice markings being genuine and is a light grey/green to darker green in color. The rim has two lotus flowers and two seed pods placed around the undulating and curling top. Condition is excellent having the normal characters of this type agate, which are natural indentations. Having a very lovely shape and design, it measures 6.25" x 5.5" x .75" high.

A fine Chinese late 19th century ivory card case featuring an intricately carved garden setting with figures and pavilions on a pierced background. A rare tazza or flatware stem dish is from the ancient Ban Chiang culture of Thailand. It is well over two thousand years old and guaranteed authentic. The tarra is covered in a dense network of calcified roots, and is without any repairs. Almost all artifacts from this region have been restored to some degree, but due to the petrified and calcified roots, it leaves little doubt that this one is original and intact. 19th century, miniature French self-portrait painting of Elizabeth Vigee-Lebrun with her daughter. Lebrun caused a public scandal when her “Self-Portrait with Her Daughter Julie” was exhibited at the Salon of 1787 showing her smiling and open-mouthed (“bearing her teeth”), which was in direct contravention of traditional painting conventions going back to antiquity. Painted in wonderful realist style the colors are still vibrant having been protected from the elements all these years...

Circa 1920sEichwald majolica centerpiece with a lion head on the base. Large and colorful, this blue bowl with a golden yellow interior is relief decorated on the exterior with small raspberry red flowers, light green tendrils, and paisley shaped pink medallions. Other colors are lavender, and golden brown. A fabulous statement piece. Marked" Eichwald" and "Czechoslovakia", it measures 15" high, 12ʺ long × 8.25ʺ wide.

An impressive magnifying glass with a carved ivory handle with 18 natural red coral beads. We believe the ivory handle to be a Meiji period Japanese parasol handle and sometime in its history converted to a magnifying glass. In very good antique condition with all beads intact, the handle measures 5 inches x 1 1/8". Magnifying glass with handle is 10.5 inches long.

Rare Josef Rindskoph red Papillion vase with an exceptional iridescent crackle exterior finish that is highly iridized and textured, ruffled top, polished pontil, unsigned. In excellent condition, this stunning vase measures 13 inches high and 6.5” diameter. Dates circa 1920.

Czech Art Deco zoomorphic 1930’s swan-form decanter by Karel Palda. Hand-blown glass body and handle with a silver plated head having a flip top pour spout. It is marked Czechoslovakia on lid hinge. In excellent vintage condition, it measures 12" high.

A fine Roman blown glass bottle in a deep amethyst color. Most likely a medicinal flask or unguent vial. It is evenly translucent with very little earthen deposits and encrustation. Quite rare and beautifully well preserved, it dates circa 1st-3rd century A.D. Measurements 4.75" x 3".

A truly magnificent Qianjiang porcelain vase C.1880's, this vase has all the added features not normally encountered in Qianjiang porcelain. First, it is a human figural painting, secondly it is a painting of two foo dogs, and that with beautiful calligraphy in red and black to the sides of the paintings. As an added bonus, this vase comes with the original papers and reciept of purchase. It was purchased in China in 1980 when genuine antiques could still be purchased; and yet legal to purchase...

An unused Chinese civil 5th rank silver pheasant (baixian) badge in original paper wrapping. Background is black silk with a border of bats and the “shou” character. Eight Buddhist symbols are featured with the endless knot having been created using the forbidden stitch. Made for the front of a woman's surcoat, this rank badge is in excellent condition, measures 12", and dates late 19th century.

Early 1800's underglaze cobalt blue decorated Chinese tea bowl stands. The center of the dish is open with a raised collar and the opening designed to accommodate a footed tea bowl. The underside is decorated with concentric rings and three stylized bats. The side of the foot ring is decorated with auspicious symbols. In very good condition showing very little sign of wear. They measure 4 inches diameter, interior diameter 2 1/8" and 1 1/8" high.

19th C Meissen "Love Captive" porcelain hand painted figurine of Cupid putting a heart into a cage. In excellent condition, it is marked with cross swords in underglaze on the base. Measures about 4.5" high, 2.5" wide, 2.5" deep. Circa 1880. We also have "Love Crowned", see last photo.
