Mid Meiji black lacquer gold maki-e borders document box. Features three raised gold designs with very fine details and Japanese characters. The has a gold sprinkled nashiji interior. A rare and very old neolithic pottery jar from the Qijia culture from Gansu Province, China, 2050 - 1200 BC. Being corded, when the clay was wet, fabric was applied making pattern. When it was fired, the fabric would burn off, leaving the design. In excellent condition, no restoration or repairs, it measures 6.5" high.

Tall sterling silver, pink guilloche enamel, and cut crystal vase by The Thomae Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Base is weighted and the crystal is finely “wheel cut” in a floral design. This stunning vase measures 10 7/8 inches high x 3 1/2" diameter across top. Dates circa 1915.

Beautiful 17" inch high Lladro statue with gres finish of a kneeling Thai dancer in traditional garb. Designed by Vincente Martine, this figurine was released in 1977 and retired in 1999. Lladro ‘s Spanish name for this Thai dancer is “Thailandesa Arrodillada”. In excellent condition, she measures 9 inches wide × 7ʺ deep × 17ʺ high.

Rare smaller size sterling silver dish ring with slat-pierced sides, pierced foliate scroll work bands, and embossed with laurel leaf swags. In excellent condition, it measures diameter across base 4", diameter across top about 3 1/2", and height 2 3/8". Circa 1900.

A large Chinese bonbon dish made by Wang Hing. Made of mother of pearl shell with silver bamboo legs in tripod form, it is surprising sturdy. Marked Wang Hing on one of the bottom legs, it is in excellent condition and measures 5 inches high. Across, the shell measures 8.75' at its longest point and 7" at its shortest distance.

Mid Century sterling silver teething ring with a large amber bead that moves. Marked on the inside "STERLING", it is in excellent condition. At its widest point, the silver teething ring measures 3.5" (8.9 cm). The very large natural amber bead measures 1.5" (3.8 cm) wide and 1" (2.5 cm) high. A child's name is hand engraved on one side and can be easily buffed out by your jeweler. We will polish before shipping if requested.

This lovely late 19th C Ko Kutani bijin is holding two opened fans with a flower on her head. Exquisite features and detailing, this already highly collectible Ko Kutani figure is even more special because the flower also serves as a candle holder. In very good condition, she measures 11" or 27.9 cm high.

According to Sakura and in his opinion, this painting would date from 1800-1849, and is in fair to good condition. A fine and rare Qianlong period porcelain bowl decorated with a rich blue glaze accentuated with gold highlights. Featuring two different scenes of people in a landscape setting, the transparent enamel glazes feel smooth as silk. The bowl was repaired in the 1800's with 3 metal staples and there are 2 rim chips at the break. The repair is excellent, the bowl is solid, and it still retains a nice ring when tapped. Carved to fit the hand perfectly, this Japanese ivory page turner offers elegant design combined with function. The artists skill becomes even more evident when the page turner is held. In excellent condition save for one small shallow chip about 2-3 mm, see last photo, very hard to see, but can be felt if you run your finger slowly along the blade. The page turner measures 18.5" x 1.25".

Historical dark Blue Staffordshire Teapot, circa 1830, of Lafayette at Franklin's Tomb. Made in honor of Lafayette's 1824 visit to the United States, this teapot was produced by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846) of Staffordshire. In excellent antique condition, there is only one fairly small chip on the inside of the teapot, no hairlines, no repairs. The teapot is 11 inches wide from spout to handle by 7 .5" tall.

Late Qing Chinese red tixi cinnabar circular box decorated with alternating layers of red and black lacquer deeply carved to create intricate designs The box has a beautiful sheen to the surface so that the layers of lacquer simply pop. High quality and in excellent condition, it measures 3” diameter, and 1.5” high. Circa 1850.
