18C Chinese domed jade plaque carved in low relief with Buddhist auspicious symbols. Color is a whitish pale celadon. It is carved very, very thin with two sets of small holes to the back edge. This may have been attached to clothing or fabric or, perhaps, attached to a large ruyi scepter. Condition is excellent and it is wonderfully translucent. Measures: 4" x 3.25".

Signed, Wm. S. Morgan, Somerset Co, 1872, this woven wool coverlet was made in Somerset County in Jenner Township, Pennsylvania. In 1870, the factory employed ten workers and produced a variety of woolen goods, including blankets and coverlets. Condition is good, but does have some damage, please study photos. Measures 66" x 72".

Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

A fine example of First Period, Dr. John Wall, Worcester botanical fluted porcelain bowl having a blue rim decorated with gold. Mark on bottom with Sotheby’s sticker. This bowl is a rare survivor of this early period and is in excellent condition. Circa 1755-1774. Measures 6.5" diameter, 3" high.

Circa 1790-1820, English underglaze blue pearlware bowl with exaggerated Chinese style figures. Hand painted and in excellent antique condition, it measures 5 1/8” diameter x 2.75” high.

A fine, circa 1700-1730, English walnut writing chest strung with boxwood and crossbanded. The three-drawer superstructure has a fold flap above two short and two long drawers on a molded plinth and small compressed bun feet. In excellent antique condition, it measures 36ʺ wide × 18.25ʺ deep × 35ʺ high.

Rare, circa 1750, Staffordshire glazed stoneware figurine of a woman with her dog. Measures 5.25 inches high.

Circa 1756, sterling silver French snuff box featuring a man's profile with initials. The bottom has an embossed farming scene with the sides having various vignettes including a hunter and a shepherdess. A spectacular Sawankalok brown glaze jarlet dating to the 14th century. It is extremely rare to find these type jarlets in the condition here shown, no chips, hairlines, or other damage. 7.62 cm. or 3 inches high.

A very rare and early imari that more closely resembles the kakiemon palette, but with the heavy use of gold and some under glaze blue, it would fall under the imari family group. This is a very rare dish as it displays the pomegranate fruit in the center well, its seeds being exposed as to suggest the hope of many sons. 5 cranes are symmetrically arranged, 3 on the garden rock, 2 in flight. Two very rare Ko-imari rice bowls from the Genroku period. C. 1690-1710. These are just gorgeous, the bottoms are painted in the chevron pattern, and various geometrical patterns of roundels with honey comb patterns throughout. Two dragons adorn either side of each cup and each surrounded with colors of iron red and green enamels with gold gilt accents. Each bowl and cover are in perfect condition with very little wear to the enamels, almost non-existant. They measure with lid on about 3 1/8" ...

A lovely pair of Hoi An Shipwreck Annamese bowls dating to the 15th century. They are excellent condition, save for the glaze that is matte. They measure 4.5" wide and 3" high.

A fine late Ming Dy blue and white jarlet with a horse on each side. Rare to find with original lid, this jarlet and lid is in excellent condition with no flaws, no chips, hairlines, or other damage. Book not included.

A rare and unique offering of a Ming dynasty (1368-1644) wall section from Nanning in Guangxi Province. Molded in deep relief it shows a typical scholar from the Ming dynasty wearing the literati hanfu, the traditional black straight-lined robe. His hair style is the traditional wavy cloud that rests in a neat pile on the pate of the head.
