Old Kalaga from Myanmar (now Burma) featuring an unusual but colorful bird. The kalaga is embroidered with a combination of metallic and plain threads, sequins, beads and glass stones. Applied around the bird in a circle are glass-like stones that give the appearance of moonstones. In very good antique/vintage condition, it measures about 14.25 inches square. Circa 1950's or earlier.

A fine porcelain Japanese Koyto tea cup with a Japanese macaque or snow monkey. Dated 1956 and signed “Chikusen”, we are attributing it to Chikusen Miura III, 1901-1990. Measures 2.75 inches.

Circa 1950-60, very heavy sterling silver hinged or jointed fish bottle opener with abalone (mother of pearl) and black onyx eyes. Made in Mexico, it is fully hallmarked including 925 on the back side of the tail. Excellent condition, it measures 7.25" long and weights 5.48 oz.

Black transferware on cream Wedgwood porcelain plates of jungle animals. The plates were made from hand engravings by the Wedgwood School of Engraving. The border was designed the wife of James Stevenson-Hamilton, the first warden of Kruger National Park. In excellent condition, they measure 10.75 inches in diameter.

From the 1950's, inspired by the Art Deco movement, is this pale pink and clear Lucite moonglow hair stick pin. In perfect condition, it measures 6" long. The pink ornament measures 1.25" x 7/8".

Mid century deer antler cigar cutter with matching cigar ashtray and cigarette lighter. The cutter is stamped Pfielring Solingen and measures approximately 11.25 inches long. The lighter and ashtray have felted bottoms and measure 3.5" by 4.25" each.

This mug was gifted and engraved on the bottom in 1969. In excellent condition, it measures 6 1/4" from bottom to top of handle, 5 1/2" from bottom to top of tankard, and 4 3/4" in diameter.

Original oil on board painting of a reclining nude as viewed through sheer curtains. Done mostly in sepia tones save for a black cat in background, the woman is in an almost sphinx like pose. A very intriguing painting. With original frame and in excellent condition, we date this about 1940-1950s. Signed by artist, G. A very impressive African tribal Senufo bird statue measuring 61.75 inches high with a 25" wingspan. The bird's wings are carved in relief with images of lizards, crocodiles, turtles and birds. The body beneath the beak has a carving of a large lizard. The rest of the bird features repeated geometric carvings on front and back.
