Civil War Union General staff button by Scovill of Waterbury, CT. In the 2006 appraisal there is an attached note that read, "Josephine, a button from the Confederate uniform from father S. A. Ashe." This Josephine was Sam Ashe's (S. A. Ashe) sister. William Shepard Ashe, whose button this belonged to, was Secretary of Transportation for the CSA. Crafted of hardwood aged to a rich, warm patina, this exceptional folk art walking stick features a shaft containing natural smoothed knobs that give this stick an elegant feel. A leather strap allows this classic walking stick to be worn around the belt or wrist for ease of use. Sturdy enough for everyday use, it measures about 32 inches long with the strap being 6".

Fine cobalt blue ground Spode porcelain bottle with gilded vermicelli “seaweed” decoration. The stopper is slightly domed. The base of the slender neck features an applied small white enamel bird. Marked in orange on bottom with the pattern number “2123”. In excellent condition, No chips, no cracks, no hairlines, it measures 4” high x 3” diameter. Dates circa 1815 England.

Rare American coin silver figural punch ladle in its original case. Featuring a woman's figure at the top, a twist handle, and a embossed face on the bowl, this ladle is attributed to George Sharp. The case is leather and shows minor age related wear. The ladle is in excellent condition measuring 13.75 inches long x 3.5" across the bowl. Dates 1840-1860.

Very rare antique cut crystal with a sterling silver cap alcohol holder complete with a sterling chain attached to a sterling silver thermometer case which contains the original thermometer. In excellent condition, the crystal alcohol holder measures 3" long and the sterling thermometer case measures 4.5" long. A very fine and rare addition for the collector! Circa late 19th C.

Historical dark Blue Staffordshire Teapot, circa 1830, of Lafayette at Franklin's Tomb. Made in honor of Lafayette's 1824 visit to the United States, this teapot was produced by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846) of Staffordshire. In excellent antique condition, there is only one fairly small chip on the inside of the teapot, no hairlines, no repairs. The teapot is 11 inches wide from spout to handle by 7 .5" tall.

A fine, circa 1700-1730, English walnut writing chest strung with boxwood and crossbanded. The three-drawer superstructure has a fold flap above two short and two long drawers on a molded plinth and small compressed bun feet. In excellent antique condition, it measures 36ʺ wide × 18.25ʺ deep × 35ʺ high.

Dating from the early 1700s before Meissen starting using their cross swords logo is this very rare Meissen porcelain cameo vase. The applied bisque cameo features the goddess Venus looking into a mirror. In very good antique condition, the only evidence of age is wear to the gold gilt. We have not attempted to clean the vase. Measures 9 inches high, about 4.5" diameter at widest.

Very rare, dating circa 1820, American cut lead crystal wash basin and water pitcher set. Possibly by Bakewell Glass of Pittsburgh, the set is in excellent condition. The bowl measures 7.5" high x 16.25 diameter. The pitcher measures 12.5 inches high. Both in excellent condition.

Circa 1830, historical dark blue Staffordshire teapot with a different scene on each side. One side shows 3 men chopping down a tree with a house in the background. The opposing side depicts a train engine pulling a coach. This teapot was produced by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846) of Staffordshire. The deep blue color is remarkable as well as its excellent condition. Measures 10.5ʺ wide, 5ʺ deep, 7ʺ high.

Circa 1820 English, this charming tortoise shell sewing box having zig zag patterned string inlay can also be used as a jewelry box. The interior has fitted tray which still has its original compartment lids and the tray removes to reveal another compartment. In very good antique condition, it measures 10” across, 6.75” deep, 3” high.

Purchased over 40 years ago at Restoration Hardware, this archaic style bronze ram's head was the only piece they had in their store. I suspect it was a decorative item that RH purchased as an accent piece for one of their room settings. The holes on this reproduction ram indicates that the original bronze ram was affixed to an instrument. An impressive piece, this was probably made in the first decade of the 20th C Measures 14" long, 7.5" high, and 12" across the horns.

A tasteful Edwardian rectangular serving tray, solid oak with brass enforced rounded corners, authentic warm patina. In excellent condition, it measures 15.5 inches long by 9.75" wide. Dates circa 1900.

Art Nouveau deep turquoise Czechoslovakian majolica porcelain centerpiece by Eichwald. One small old chip at foot (see last photo), it is considered to be in very good condition. The bottom is marked with "Eichwald". Measures 13.25 inches across and about 6 inches high. Circa 1910.

18th century hand chased Georgian silver toddy ladle embossed with festoons, birds, flowers and a shield bearing the beautifully engraved initials "EC". These ladles were used to serve toddy from a serving rummer or punch bowl and ideal for warming brandy. The twisted whalebone handle affords a better grip and has a silver end cap. In excellent condition,just needs a little polishing, it measures 13 inches long; bowl measures 2.5" diameter, 1.25" deep. Circa 1770

A lovely antique emerald green Moser style glass perfume bottle comprised of three layers of glass (light mint green white, emerald green, clear) with gold enamel scroll work. With some minor loss to gold gilt commensurate with age and the end of the stopper is broken, this is considered to be in very good antique condition.. Measures 6.75" high, body 3" diameter, 2" diameter at foot. Czechoslovakian circa 1880.

Circa 1904, a pair of English bright cut napkins in their original box. Hallmarked and in excellent condition, each napkin ring measures about 7/8" high x 1 3/4" diameter. Mono. Presentation box is in exellent antique condition.

Set of 4 English footed open salts in their original case. All in excellent condition and fully hallmarked with original box. Box interior inscription reads: Campbell & Lumby, Diamond Merchants, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, Old Post Office Place, Church Street, Liverpool and measures 7.5" x 9". Each salt measures 2.25" across x 1" high. Circa 1900
