click for detailed views

Circa 1820 English, this charming tortoise shell sewing box having zig zag patterned string inlay can also be used as a jewelry box. The interior has fitted tray which still has its original compartment lids and the tray removes to reveal another compartment. In very good antique condition, it measures 10” across, 6.75” deep, 3” high. Please note: The tortoise shell lid on the back left compartment is missing its ring, but you can still lift the lid out (see last photo).
