A 1940s Kashmir wood turned box featuring a wonderful warm gold and green lacquered mottled design over black. It measures 5.75 inches across and 4.5 high including finial.
Hand carved wood angel with glass eyes from a rural Catholic church in the Philippines. Comes with a wood gold colored horn which rests on its hand. Measures 34" high; Wings total 16" across. Circa 1940-50s. Condition very good, some age cracks.
South Indian betel nut cutter with horse motif handle. Doesn't appear to have ever been used. Measures 7.5 inches long and dates pre 1950.
Old Kalaga from Myanmar (now Burma) featuring an unusual but colorful bird. The kalaga is embroidered with a combination of metallic and plain threads, sequins, beads and glass stones. Applied around the bird in a circle are glass-like stones that give the appearance of moonstones. In very good antique/vintage condition, it measures about 14.25 inches square. Circa 1950's or earlier.
Two very playful Southeast Asian panthers skillfully carved from red palm wood. They can be displayed on any one of 3 sides and look as thought they were designed to be viewed in whatever position you place them. The wood is heavy and dense feeling very much like a hardwood and weighs about 3 lbs. In excellent vintage condition, they measure 9.5 inches long by 5 inches high. Dates early 20th century.
