Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Presented on a silver wire inlaid rosewood stand, this is a superb piece and comes in its own presentation box. It measures: Long 10" x High 7.25" x Depth 2.5" plus stand. Dates mid 20th C, late Republic/early People's Republic of China.

Circa 1880, Chinese red cinnabar circular box with stand. The box is presented on a carved wood stand having several coats of cinnabar lacquer, giving it the appearance of a solid carved cinnabar stand. Extremely well done and deeply carved, the scene depicts a well known Chinese story about Kuan Ti’s defense of Lin Bang's wife before the advance of Hsian Yu. Please note the beautifully carved horse. In excellent condition, the box including stand measures 5.5" diameter x 5.5" high...

Circa 1950s-60s, double fruit rock crystal snuff bottle with superb clarity and craftsmanship having apple green jadeite stems for stoppers. Presented on a nice hardwood stand. In perfect condition, just the bottle measures 3" long x 1.75" high x 1.25 wide".

Large Chinese embroidered silk badge of a three toed dragon. The 3-toed dragon is the symbol of government ministers and public officials. This piece could have been from a wall hanging or off of a room screen. Color of badge is even; glare from the glass is making it look darker or lighter in areas. This badge measures 20.5" high and was placed on a cream colored closely cropped brushed velvet material, then framed. Framed measurements are: 26.5" wide x 33" high.

Early 19c Chinese scholar’s carved rosewood double dragon brush rest. The dragons have wonderful facial features with turned up snouts. There is a round knob on the top between the two facing dragons to turn it easily. The bodies, feet and curling tails are wonderful. Workmanship and quality is superb, showing early original patina to the surfaces. The color is a rich reddish brown with all the shiny areas right where they should be from handling...

Early 1900s turquoise snuff bottle with a landscape scene having carved openwork and just loads of things going on. A very fine colored turquoise with a wonderful surface polish. It is presented on an equally fine earlier zitan, or similar, wood stand. Both are in excellent condition. Incredible circa 1870s Cantonese export finely carved natural (no finish applied) sandalwood three place photo frame. This frame has the best fine carvings in minute detail of any Canton worked frame we have ever seen. It has adult and young Kylin animals along with figures, including a friar, in a central medallion, the finest carved pillars separating each lower photo area...

Early to mid 19c light greyish/celadon jade medallion in circular form having a central Kylin surrounded by symbols. Superbly carved and pierced with the finest details with a worked edge having the back indented and smoothly finished. This medallion was probably removed from a cloisonne or bronze wine ewer or censor. This piece is of the finest caliber, showing a wonderful hand polish all the way through and in perfect condition. Size 2-1/4" Diameter and nice thickness...

Late 19th C Chinese red with gold gilt carving of a baby elephant resting on plinth. This hand-carved elephant and platform are solid wood and do not detach. A charming addition to your home, young or baby elephants symbolize hope, abundance and prosperity as well as wealth, good luck and playfulness. It is best if they are placed in a position facing North. In very good antique condition with normal wear and surface cracks expected with wood carvings of this age...

Chinese porcelain hat stand vase with a hand painted scene of a boy playfully dangling a toy spider in front of his pet cat. Mother and brother are standing nearby watching. Dates early 20th C. Measures 11.5" high x 5" diameter.

Republic period, 1940s or earlier, semi translucent jade brush washer, or possibly a snuff tray, in an unusual oval shape with a small carved flower button in the center. The jade has a lovely soft polished surface which is always rare to find. Color is best described as white jade with a pale celadon tint and, for presentation; we have it resting on a white jade bi from a later date. Both are included in the sale. Oval snuff tray/brush washer only measures: L 5" x D3" x H 5/8"...

Chinese Laughing Buddha statue holding a large coin on a gold ignot. Hand painted with red, black, and gold lacquers, he retains much of his original paint. Dates circa 1900. Measures 34" high.

Wonderful Late Qing, Early Republic era Peking glass pink snowstorm snuff bottle with a layer of black, then white, hand carved so that both colors can be seen clearly. The subject matter being fishing with a man and 2 boys, sea life, a boat, trees, birds and of course a big flopping fish. Still has its original stopper, a jet-black polished stone that really sets it off. Perfect condition H 3-1/4" x W 1-1/4" x D 1-1/8"

Circa 1870s Cantonese export carved ivory larger size calling card case. The front is saturated with open flowers, leaves, stems and buds in the type of work that appears like they are lifted in the air with skilled undercutting and back carving. The background is all perfectly hatched in the wan-fret design and there is a central area that is filled in with scenes of Chinese life, also in high relief...
