18th century hand chased Georgian silver toddy ladle embossed with festoons, birds, flowers and a shield bearing the beautifully engraved initials "EC". These ladles were used to serve toddy from a serving rummer or punch bowl and ideal for warming brandy. The twisted whalebone handle affords a better grip and has a silver end cap. In excellent condition,just needs a little polishing, it measures 13 inches long; bowl measures 2.5" diameter, 1.25" deep. Circa 1770

19th C bronze Chinese vase featuring elegant lines and a beautiful warm patina. Condition is very good with some surface micro abrasions, interior with scattered dots of patination (see last photo), all of which are consistent with age. Circa 1860-1880. Original Japanese woodblock print by Kitao Masanobu (1761 – 1816) from the “Eastern Tune Koyka by Fifty Poets”, date 1786. The color woodblock print depicts an image of a seated warrior with a poem above. Print has toning, spots, and marks throughout, fading to inks, loss of red ink stripes on face, abrasions to lower right corner. Not examined out of frame.

Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.

Early 20th C Chinese Export reverse painting on glass of a mahjong game. This work depicts a quartet of women playing the game at a lacquered table with a small crowd watching them play. A fine example of an early 20th century Chinese enamel cloisonné baluster form vase decorated with intricate foliate and vine patterns in an arabesque style design. The pattern, in shades of blue, is displayed over a pale turquoise ground accented by gold gilt base and neck. In excellent condition, it measures 12.5" high

Purchased over 40 years ago at Restoration Hardware, this archaic style bronze ram's head was the only piece they had in their store. I suspect it was a decorative item that RH purchased as an accent piece for one of their room settings. The holes on this reproduction ram indicates that the original bronze ram was affixed to an instrument. An impressive piece, this was probably made in the first decade of the 20th C Measures 14" long, 7.5" high, and 12" across the horns.

Circa 1820 English, this charming tortoise shell sewing box having zig zag patterned string inlay can also be used as a jewelry box. The interior has fitted tray which still has its original compartment lids and the tray removes to reveal another compartment. In very good antique condition, it measures 10” across, 6.75” deep, 3” high.

Circa 1830, historical dark blue Staffordshire teapot with a different scene on each side. One side shows 3 men chopping down a tree with a house in the background. The opposing side depicts a train engine pulling a coach. This teapot was produced by Enoch Wood & Sons (1818 - 1846) of Staffordshire. The deep blue color is remarkable as well as its excellent condition. Measures 10.5ʺ wide, 5ʺ deep, 7ʺ high.

Early to mid 19c light greyish/celadon jade medallion in circular form having a central Kylin surrounded by symbols. Superbly carved and pierced with the finest details with a worked edge having the back indented and smoothly finished. This medallion was probably removed from a cloisonne or bronze wine ewer or censor. This piece is of the finest caliber, showing a wonderful hand polish all the way through and in perfect condition. Very rare, dating circa 1820, American cut lead crystal wash basin and water pitcher set. Possibly by Bakewell Glass of Pittsburgh, the set is in excellent condition. The bowl measures 7.5" high x 16.25 diameter. The pitcher measures 12.5 inches high. Both in excellent condition.

Early 19c Chinese scholar’s carved rosewood double dragon brush rest. The dragons have wonderful facial features with turned up snouts. There is a round knob on the top between the two facing dragons to turn it easily. The bodies, feet and curling tails are wonderful. Workmanship and quality is superb, showing early original patina to the surfaces. The color is a rich reddish brown with all the shiny areas right where they should be from handling. We can always find double dragon brush...

Dating from the early 1700s before Meissen starting using their cross swords logo is this very rare Meissen porcelain cameo vase. The applied bisque cameo features the goddess Venus looking into a mirror. In very good antique condition, the only evidence of age is wear to the gold gilt. We have not attempted to clean the vase. Measures 9 inches high, about 4.5" diameter at widest.

A fine, circa 1700-1730, English walnut writing chest strung with boxwood and crossbanded. The three-drawer superstructure has a fold flap above two short and two long drawers on a molded plinth and small compressed bun feet. Antique hand carved wood Chinese picture frame with a hand tinted photo of the Double Ring Longevity Pavilion. Also known as Shuanghuan Pavilion, the pavilion was moved in 1977 to the Temple of Heaven, Beijing. This is a photo of the pavilion in its original location near The Forbidden City. Antique photo and frame are in excellent condition. Frame measures 9" x 13 inches.
