Tall Japanese Sumida Gawa tankard with 6 mugs. All have the same potter's mark. Mugs measure 5" high, Tankard is 9.5" high. All are in very good condition except for a missing piece from the scroll on one mug, and broken thumb on another. Dates early 20th century.

Very fine large Meiji Era Japanese porcelain bowl with a delicately painted floral motif accented with gold gilt highlights. The side of the bowl features cranes in various flying poses. There is an old staple and gold repair at the rim. Looking into the bowl it is not visible unless you are seriously looking for it. See last 2 photos. Bowl rings nicely. Signed on the bottom, this is a very large bowl measuring 12.5 inches across by 3.75" high.

Beautiful Japanese Satsuma lidded jar featuring four different scenes with immortals. One scene includes a boy and another an animal. In excellent antique condition with wear to gold gilding, it measures 11.5 inches high x 8" widest point. Dates Meiji Period, circa 1880.

Circa 1870s-90s Japanese Hirado porcelain vase with a globular body raised on a short footrim and rising to a slender, knopped neck with everted mouth and galleried rim. Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with a falcon perched on the bole of a gnarled pine tree, a band of lappets around the foot, and the rim with a continuous key-fret border, it is in excellent condition. Measures 10.5" high x 6.5" diameter

This lovely late 19th C Ko Kutani bijin is holding two opened fans with a flower on her head. Exquisite features and detailing, this already highly collectible Ko Kutani figure is even more special because the flower also serves as a candle holder. Finely detailed Satsuma jar with 4 male figures comprising 2 scenes. One scene depicts Shoki with a nobleman, the other a Samurai teacher with his student. An exceptional piece and what we were not able to capture in the photos is the depth and richness of the translucent glazes. Wood stand and lid were added later and are included. Measures on stand with lid 9.5". Jar alone measures 7.5" high x 6" diameter. Jar dates about 1875.

Early 20th C Japanese glazed porcelain figure of a puppy, most likely an akita. The puppy is wearing a ruffled collar with bells. If you hold this piece under a bright light, you can see some surface crazing that occurred after firing during the cooling process, which attests to its age. In excellent condition, it measures 5.5" high, 3.5" wide, 4.5" deep.

A beautiful hand painted iron red Kutani charger decorated with images of children at play, birds and floral arrangements. Two very rare Ko-imari rice bowls from the Genroku period. C. 1690-1710. These are just gorgeous, the bottoms are painted in the chevron pattern, and various geometrical patterns of roundels with honey comb patterns throughout. Two dragons adorn either side of each cup and each surrounded with colors of iron red and green enamels with gold gilt accents. A very rare and early imari that more closely resembles the kakiemon palette, but with the heavy use of gold and some under glaze blue, it would fall under the imari family group. This is a very rare dish as it displays the pomegranate fruit in the center well, its seeds being exposed as to suggest the hope of many sons. 5 cranes are symmetrically arranged, 3 on the garden rock, 2 in flight. Condition is excellent, save a very tiny glaze flake to the rim...
