Old Chinese silk embroidered scroll of a rooster and a hen amongst flowers. The satin stitch and numerous colored silk threads were used to blend and create this work of art. In excellent condition, it measures as a scroll: 7 feet long X 26 inches.

17th century scene of "Son Returns Home After Making His Fortune to the Surprise of His Family". Hand painted with inks on silk, we are dating this painting pre 1900. Not examined out of frame, it looks to be in excellent antique condition. Measures in frame 20" x 38" high, site size 14" 27" high.

It is loaded with imagery that depicts several intense scenes from floating skeletons to animals and humans being trampled. This antique thangka was used and has been consecrated or blessed. Chinese hanging scroll ink rubbing of an ancient stone carving featuring Quan Yin. Rubbing dates early 2oth century. Rubbings of ancient stone carvings are illegal in China as the process damages the stone. In very good condition, the rubbing measures 39.5 inches x 21 inches. Scroll measures 30" x 56" and comes in a bamboo container.

Antique hand carved wood Chinese picture frame with a hand tinted photo of the Double Ring Longevity Pavilion. Also known as Shuanghuan Pavilion, the pavilion was moved in 1977 to the Temple of Heaven, Beijing. This is a photo of the pavilion in its original location near The Forbidden City. Antique photo and frame are in excellent condition. Frame measures 9" x 13 inches.

I have seen many antique paintings of mountain tigers, but none with this level of realism. This Chinese painting dates late Qing, 1910-1912, possibly early Republic, pre 1920. The seal indicates that it came from a shop in Southern China. It measures approximately 17" wide x 48" high.
