Circa 1830 from Pennsylvania, this pieced cotton quilt features the North Star pattern. All hand stitched, it has strong geometric shapes. Colors are red, white and various purples. A little worn around the edges, color is still good, considered to be in very good condition commensurate with age. Coverlet fits over a double bed. From the estate of Mike Biggers.

An Akan gilt metal gold weight cast as a bird on round tapering base. The Akan gold weights are quite unique in the world for their forms. Their weights are so distinguished by their shape that they are now considered decorative art forms only few inches in size. Historically, they were used for measuring gold dust, which was circulating as currency in Ghana and Ivory Coast among the Akans from the 15th until the end of the 19th century. Measures 2.75 inches high and dates late 1800s.

A large and rare, early 19th C Gathering Basket from North Carolina of rectangle shape with 2 steamed and bent handles. In great condition, it is very tightly woven with a double wrapped rim. Basket is coated with cream colored paint, probably milk paint. Wood is unknown, possibly split oak. From the private collection of an appraiser of Early Americana. Measures 28" long, 16" wide, 12" high. Note: Basket depth measures 10", with handles 12".

Very Rare Black Forest hand carved walnut dog cigar holder. May have been used in a gentlemen's club, a men's parlor in a Victorian home, or as a store display. A fantastic find for the collector or cigar aficionado. Measures 16" long, 6" high, 5" wide.

French hinged vinaigrette or snuff box made from carved coquille nut having a mask with inset red amber eyes and tongue, the cover with Napoleon astride a rearing horse. Measures 3 inches long. Circa 1815.

Circa 1900, a large needlework panel done in petit and gros point of a dog sitting on a stool in front of a window and bordered by various floral panels. Colors are cream and varied tones of reds, browns and tan. In a museum quality antique tiger maple frame with gold gilt liner and a wood panel back, it measures 23 x 26". Embroidery sight size measures 17.5” x 20.5".

Art Noveau red cameo glass stick vase by French designer Emile Galle. The color is an unusual off white with a red overlay. It is a wonderful feeling hold and study a vase made by such a great and innovative designer. In excellent antique condition, it measures 5.5 inches high and approximately 4" in diameter at widest.

An antique Persian heavily made copper vase having a rounded bulbous body, narrow neck, and a flared lip with an applied edge. The surface is embellished with fine and impressive scrolling including 4 separate birds amongst a plethora of flowers. Circa 1900. Measures 5" high x 5" diameter.

18th / 19th century automatic phlegm, medical bloodletting tool, in its original case. It is said that George Washington had one like this in his First Aid Kit. Bloodletter measures overall length including blade 2", 1/2" wide and 1/8" height. The case measure approximately 2 7/8" long, 1 1/2" wide, and height 5/8".

Having a very sweet face, this china head doll dates circa 1860. She is complete with a dress and pantaloons. One foot is missing, but it does not detract from the presentation. Measures 9.5" high.

Woven reed and wicker high chair probably used for a little girl in which to place her favorite doll. This chair still retains its original mohair seat. In very good antique condition, there are a few pieces of broken and missing wicker at the top of the chair and a section of woven reed missing at the back of the seat. Dates 1890 and is quite sturdy.
Highchair measures 31ʺ high, 12ʺ wide, 13ʺ deep.
Seat height is 18"
Seat interior measures 7" wide x 7.5" deep.

Signed, Wm. S. Morgan, Somerset Co, 1872, this woven wool coverlet was made in Somerset County in Jenner Township, Pennsylvania. In 1870, the factory employed ten workers and produced a variety of woolen goods, including blankets and coverlets. Condition is good, but does have some damage, please study photos. Measures 66" x 72".

Civil War Union General staff button by Scovill of Waterbury, CT. In the 2006 appraisal there is an attached note that read, "Josephine, a button from the Confederate uniform from father S. A. Ashe." This Josephine was Sam Ashe's (S. A. Ashe) sister. William Shepard Ashe, whose button this belonged to, was Secretary of Transportation for the CSA. Appraised in 2006 for insurance purposes, see photo. This button is from the original family and is the first time on the market...
