Antique Majolica Vase With Eagle and Shield stock #JWHmajEagleV
Late 19th C Majolica vase modelled as an eagle supporting a shield shaped vase on an oval base, picked out in colored glazes. Impressed S&S mark on the base bottom, the S&S mark appears to be unrecorded, but is very similar to the impressed WS&S mark used by Wilhelm Schiller & Sohn on their majolica pieces produced in Bohemia in the second half of the 19th century. In excellent condition, it measures just under 8.5" high
