$2,900.00

An unusual 18th century Canton black and white enamel miniature square tea kettle with lid. Supported on four bracket feet and finely enameled on each side with a group of Precious Objects with gold gilt accents. The lower half with scrolling foliage has an occasional crescent flowerhead in blue enamel which is repeated on the square section spout, top, domed lid and loop handle. The base bottom is white enamel with a central blue daisy in blue enamel. The interior of the handle is decorated in yellow enamel.
This is a very unusual piece, as normally these Canton enamel tea kettles are decorated in 'famille-rose' enamels. The decoration is very finely executed. This and the unusually small size makes it a highly collectible piece.

Measures: 7 inches high, 4.47" long inch, 3.25" wide. Condition:Very good antique condition, some enamel cracking, old repair to surface enamel on lid and one side at corner. See last photo.
