Modern Japanese Bizen Tea Bowl in the Style of Ogata Kenzan

A Japanese pottery chawan or tea bowl of typically conical form resting on a straight footrim, half of the bowl is undecorated to expose the Bizen style body, the other half is decorated in overglaze enamels on a pale grey glazed ground with leafy maple branches in the manner of Ogata Kenzan (1663-1743). Indistinct impressed mark on bottom. In excellent condition, it measures 3.5 inches high, 7.25 diameter. Dates late 20th Century.
