Antique Rabbit Caneware Game Dish Tureen by Egmondville Pottery stock #BNJhareTuree
A very rare caneware tureen in the form of a cabbage with a mother rabbit and 3 bunnies peeking out of the lid. The cabbage with tureen rests on a matching plate. In very good antique condition, this item was actually used in its earlier days. Worth noting is that all the color in the rabbits eyes is still intact. Designed and potted by Ferdinand
Burgard for Egmondville Pottery in Onterio, Canada, the underside of the tureen is impressed “10” and the letters “FB”. Dates circa 1850. Measures about 7.5 inches high. Documentation available.
