Unusual form with a large flared mouth, this stunning pair of Japanese cloisonné vases date to the late Edo period, about 1860. The design is of a floral and fan motif. The enameling has a pleasing mat finish and a nice patina on the metal work. In excellent condition, they measure 12” (30.5 cm) high and flare out to 6" (15.2 cm) diameter at the top.
