A Chinese luxurious silk coco brown scent purse of profound beauty, it is modestly adorned both sides with the Citron fruit of Asia, also known as Buddha's hand. Intricately swirled hand-embroidered on both sides with fine silver and gold wrapped threads in a technique known as couching, the choice of colors creates a visual delight for the discerning collector of antique textiles. This lovely pouch has its original drawstring and four imperial yellow tassels with endless knot design. Perfect condition as it was stored away in an upper drawer for many years. It is dated to the 19th century and ready for the new owner. The purse measures 3.6" high x 3.2" wide. Including tassels it measures 7" long.
