A fine, circa 1700-1730, English walnut writing chest strung with boxwood and crossbanded. The three-drawer superstructure has a fold flap above two short and two long drawers on a molded plinth and small compressed bun feet. A pair of rare 19th C Chinese hand carved hardwood, possibly Hong Mu wood, Scholars desk trays in a large lily pad leaf design with flower heads. Each being slightly different, one has a bird’s head and the other a nice protruding stem between the flower heads, they were made to be displayed together. A nice impressive size at 20.25” long, this all silver Thai tray features a wide raised edge with hand chased scrollwork and mythical birds. The scalloped rim has a beaded edge and this tray also has four small ball feet on the bottom. It is 85% silver and weighs 680 grams. A fine Chinese scholar's agate brusher washer with many of the stems and leaves worked away from the vessel in an open worked manner. The stone is a translucent light grey to almost clear color with the stems and leaves having light russet colors terminating in the leaves to an orange hue. Lovely and rare antique hand painted porcelain deviled egg plate by R. Delinieres & Co. of Limoges, France. In excellent condition, it measures 9" x 8". Dates 1900.

Late 19c Chinese Blackwood or possibly Zitan wood brush pot in the classic style with smooth sides and a raised ring at mouth and bottom having 3 low standing low profile feet with drain hole in center bottom of pot. Carved from a single piece of wood, it still retains its original plug which is easily removed for drainage. In excellent condition commensurate with age, it measures 4-5/8" high x 4-1/8" diameter.

Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.

Nantucket woven rattan basket or purse having 2 scrimshawed ivorite plaques, one features a sailing ship with the inside plaque featuring Marblehead Harbor. This basket has a swing handle, leather hinges and a wood base. Made in Rhode Island, it is signed Farnum on the bottom and a penny glued inside dates the basket 1996. Measures 11" long x 8" high with the handle down.

Made by the Haviland & Co in Limoges, France, this five well oyster plate dates 1887. In excellent condition, it measures 7.75" diameter.

A very ornate hand chased silver hip flask with a hinged rotating bayonet cap. Monogrammed on the cap, it also has the date 1892. There is a small dent on the cap. Measures 6” high x 3.5".

Large early Republic Chinese cloisonne lidded box on stand that could have graced a scholar’s desk. On each side is a 5 toed Imperial yellow dragon with the dragon on the lid chasing the flaming pearl of wisdom; all against a dark sky blue ground, the contrasting yellow stand really makes this piece stand out. The metal and wires are bronze gilt over copper. In excellent condition it measures 13.5" wide x 7" deep x 8.75" high

Chinese Scholar’s two-tier solid rosewood stand with carved boxwood edges. Produced in the 1950s, this is actually a copy of a 17th - early 18th century style that was made of zitan and edged in boxwood. A strong stand that will hold your heaviest object, the pieces were machine made with rough carvings, hand assembled (pegged and glued), and then hand finished and polished. In excellent condition, the stand measures 12” long x 7.25" wide x 4” high.

Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Presented on a silver wire inlaid rosewood stand, this is a superb piece and comes in its own presentation box. It measures: Long 10" x High 7.25" x Depth 2.5" plus stand. Circa 1880, Chinese red cinnabar circular box with stand. The box is presented on a carved wood stand having several coats of cinnabar lacquer, giving it the appearance of a solid carved cinnabar stand.
