An expertly hand carved dark salmon coral pin dating to the early part of the 20th century, 1920 - 1930s. Using the natural formation of the branch coral, the artist created a tree trunk with a chrysanthemum and 2 buds. In Chinese culture the chrysanthemum symbolizes long life, is one of the 4 Chinese seasonal flowers, and is often associated with nobility. In excellent condition, this rare beauty measures about 1.5" high.

A scholars favorite, this small pouch was used most likely for general purpose items, but I suspect it was actually used for cricket accessories, due the subject matter of a cricket at play, and the double gourd shape of the pouch. On the opposite side is an auspicious butterfly, the entire presentation is unique and charming. This scholars delight dates to the late 19th century. In excellent shape,it measures 4.75 inches or 12.1 cm long.

Japanese Meiji Era bronze incense burner with playful shishi dog scenes in high relief depicted on each side. Handles have a twisted rope design. On the lid sits a Buddhist lion or shishi dog. Just simply stunning, this beautiful Chinese Asian celadon vase dates to the 14th century, it is in perfect shape save a small piece of broken shard that attached itself when some other vessel exploded in the kiln. Other than that, no cracks, hairlines, or other damage is found. Notice the comb lines and well potted sleek. Measures 4 inches high and about 2.5" at widest.
