French hinged vinaigrette or snuff box made from carved coquille nut having a mask with inset red amber eyes and tongue, the cover with Napoleon astride a rearing horse. Measures 3 inches long. Circa 1815.

Circa 1830 from Pennsylvania, this pieced cotton quilt features the North Star pattern. All hand stitched, it has strong geometric shapes. Colors are red, white and various purples. A little worn around the edges, color is still good, considered to be in very good condition commensurate with age. Coverlet fits over a double bed. From the estate of Mike Biggers.

Early to mid 19c light greyish/celadon jade medallion in circular form having a central Kylin surrounded by symbols. Early 19c Chinese scholar’s carved rosewood double dragon brush rest. The dragons have wonderful facial features with turned up snouts. There is a round knob on the top between the two facing dragons to turn it easily. The bodies, feet and curling tails are wonderful. Workmanship and quality is superb, showing early original patina to the surfaces. The color is a rich reddish brown with all the shiny areas right where they should be from handling. A beautiful Chinese export mug done in the mandarin palette. This mug is free from any damages and virtually has very little wear, almost nothing. I have not seen any better for the age and is very difficult to find in such pristine condition. Circa 1780. This is one of those pieces that the camera doesn't quite capture the mug's exquisite beauty and detailing. The fortunate buyer will not be disappointed. This beauty measures 5" high and 4" diameter.

A beautiful sapphire blue Qianlong period (1736-1795) small wasted and broad shouldered jar. The cobalt blue mimics the old heap and pile effect of the earlier Ming dynasty. The glaze has a silkly smooth texture typical of early 18th C. porcelains. The white patch at the neck area is a clay slip that was partially glazed and was not scored because of a slight depression in the affected area. A scholar's drum shaped porcelain water pot for calligraphy which doubles as a scroll or paper weight when not in use. The top is decorated with a depiction of the sun and there is a line of tiny raised dots around the top and bottom representing drum nail heads. A fine and rare Qianlong period porcelain bowl decorated with a rich blue glaze accentuated with gold highlights. Featuring two different scenes of people in a landscape setting, the transparent enamel glazes feel smooth as silk.
