A lovely Japanese fruitwood tray produced in the late Taisho period. The scene was hand carved with a thin gold gilt applied in the carved areas. The tray was made from one piece of wood and has a beautiful warm patina. In excellent condition, it measures 10" diameter and the rim is 1.5" high.

Dating around the 1920s is this 8-sided pierced metal opium lamp. Each of the eight panels has glass inserts to protect the flame. A pair of doors opens in the front to light the flame and in some cases to heat the opium tar housed in a damper bowl at the end of an opium pipe. Japanese silk fukusa with yuzen technique and sumi-e hand painting. The shimmering effect of the water was achieved by the delicate use of silver surihaku. A large and very rare Chinese wedding purse, this unique purse displays colorful Peking forbidden stitch done in patterns displaying various treasures. An elegant Art Deco 18K natural (not dyed) Burmese apple green jade stick pin. This high quality perfectly polished translucent apple green jadeite cabochon measures 1/2" or 1.3 cm and is set in an 18K mounting which measures 3/4" long. In excellent condition, the stick pin is not marked but was acid tested. Whole pin measures 2 5/8" long.

A lovely English cut crystal powder or dresser box. The cut glass jar features 3 large flowers with alternating leaves. A deep cut star is on the base bottom. The sterling silver lid is beautifully decorated with a chased Art Nouveau design around the outer edge. The center of the lid is plain and can be engraved. An expertly hand carved dark salmon coral pin dating to the early part of the 20th century, 1920 - 1930s. Using the natural formation of the branch coral, the artist created a tree trunk with a chrysanthemum and 2 buds. In Chinese culture the chrysanthemum symbolizes long life, is one of the 4 Chinese seasonal flowers, and is often associated with nobility.
