Late 19th C Chinese red with gold gilt carving of a baby elephant resting on plinth. This hand-carved elephant and platform are solid wood and do not detach. A charming addition to your home, young or baby elephants symbolize hope, abundance and prosperity as well as wealth, good luck and playfulness. A beautiful and very functional pair of black lacquer wooden cabinets with detailed court scenes. The cabinets can be stacked as pictured or positioned separately and perhaps placed under windows. As separately standing pieces, they can be used for extra seating with the simple addition of a few throw pillows or cushions. They can also be positioned back to back to serve as a large coffee table. The cabinets’ interiors are painted red and there is a red flower painted on each side...

A scholar's drum shaped porcelain water pot for calligraphy which doubles as a scroll or paper weight when not in use. The top is decorated with a depiction of the sun and there is a line of tiny raised dots around the top and bottom representing drum nail heads. In good antique condition with a few nicks around top inner edge and expected amount of wear to raised areas. Measures 3.25" diameter x 1.5". Circa 1700's

Circa 1880, Chinese red cinnabar circular box with stand. The box is presented on a carved wood stand having several coats of cinnabar lacquer, giving it the appearance of a solid carved cinnabar stand. Extremely well done and deeply carved, the scene depicts a well known Chinese story about Kuan Ti’s defense of Lin Bang's wife before the advance of Hsian Yu. Please note the beautifully carved horse. In excellent condition, the box including stand measures 5.5" diameter x 5.5" high...

Rare table size Chinese white jadeite snuff bottle with apple green and emerald green markings along with some blushes of lavender. Nicely carved in a reticulated openwork design, it is in excellent condition measuring 5.25" high x 3.25 across. On stand it measures 6.125"

A fine articulated gold vermeil (14K gold over sterling silver) green enameled fish. In excellent condition, it measures 3" long and 2" across its fantail. Dates circa 1930's.

Cheerful Chinese large bamboo brush pot featuring several scenes which consist of a boy and girl feeding five little biddies (chicks), a man dancing, a dog barking, and 4 boys playing hide and seek. All in a garden setting with a fence and mountainous rocks. In very good condition, there is some old insect damage to the base bottom rim. See last photo. Measures 6.75 inches high, 5" diameter. Dates circa 1920's.

A colorful profusion of precious objects and coins adorn this beautiful cloisonne box against a black background, the lid has a finial in the form of a foo dog making this a truly unique treasure. Dated to the late 19th Century, this box is in really good condition with very minor loss of enamel from the underside but does not go through, very difficult to see and does not detract from its initial overall value. A fabulous piece of black satin silk embroidered with real seed pearls to create 2 bouquets and 3 individual flowers. Custom made in the 1950's there are about 2,000 seed pearls which are individually hand sewn. There are 3 sizes of small pearls in two different shades, two are a silvery dark grey/black color and the third is a medium black. Black jet beads make up the make the stems and the center of the largest flowers. These beads are the darkest black on this material...

Broken shards of these crab plates have been found on the Island in Cebu in the Philippines, and are determined to be of the Zhangzhou type (formerly called Swatow wares). This lovely crab dish is from the Spanish porcelain trade that was exported from China to South East Asia. I am not absolutely certain of its exact age, but can guarantee that it is at least 150 years old. Measuring 6.75" in diameter, it is in perfect antique condition, no chips, hairlines or repair.

A small blue and white Chinese stem dish, 19th century. In excellent condition, thick unctuous glaze and nice form. This would make a nice ring or jewelry dish! It measures 4" across by 2" high.

A very good late Ming seal paste box. In excellent condition apart from the usual wear of abrasive scratches, it has good glaze and is petit. Size is 1.75 inches in diameter and x 1.75" high.

Not your typical cloisonne, this beauty is simply one of the best quality that I have personally seen in many years, notice the graceful cranes and profuse floral that create perfect balance and harmony, the colors are intense and dazzle the eyes. This vase dates to the pre 1950 era and is free from any damages, this is the last of the truly artistic and well made cloisonne vases done in the old world manner. In excellent condition, it measures 10.5 inches high.

Richly glazed in deep blue this Chinese jar has a dark brown glazed interior to accommodate liquid storage. The lid has an embossed Chinese symbol for longevity which suggests to me the jar's intent was to store something special for your health and well being. Featuring a wonderful globular shape, the jar and lid are in excellent condition. Measures 4 inches high, 5" diameter. Dates early 20th C

Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain snuff bottle featuring an elaborate hunting scene which includes animals such as wild boar, birds, deer, and a rabbit. Hunters are depicted on foot and riding horseback while shooting bows and arrows. In very good antique condition, no cracks, no hairlines. There are some minor abrasions or loss of glaze at around the rim which may have happened during firing. Height about 3 inches high.

A wonderful bronze opium or cigarette set inlaid with green enamel that accentuates the fine details of fish, lotus, butterflies and flowers. The box is lined with the original wood insert, which is extremely rare to find intact. All items has footed feet with blue enamel. Condition is excellent, save the tray that has a slight wavy rim to one side and minor enamel loss to a couple of the feet, which does not detract from the beauty of this rare set...

A matched pair of bronze champleve candlesticks of enamel inlay, wonderfully colorful and well patinated from age, these late 19th century candlesticks are in unrestored and perfect condition. These oriental candlesticks are highly decorative and would set off that perfect rustic atmosphere. They measure 9 inches each.
