Late Qing blue and white porcelain headrest decorated in underglaze cobalt with a dragon emerging from stylized waves, a phoenix in flight above, and a flaming pearl between them. The pillow has a tapered rectangular form with paired coin-shaped apertures at the top, traditionally used for ventilation and cooling. Secondary sides are decorated with floral sprays, allowing the piece to read well from multiple viewpoints...

Chinese porcelain hat stand vase with a hand painted scene of a boy playfully dangling a toy spider in front of his pet cat. Mother and brother are standing nearby watching. Dates early 20th C. Measures 11.5" high x 5" diameter.

Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

Circa 1750 Chinese export Nanking Cargo blue and white porcelain tea bowl and saucer. The cup and saucer were recovered from the wreck of the Dutch East India Company ship "De Geldermalsen", which sank in 1751 near Java. The recovered pieces from the wreck are now referred to as "The Nanking Cargo". Both cup and saucer still retain the original Christie's label from the auction held in Amsterdam in 1986. saucer measures 4.75ʺdiameter. Cup diameter is 3".Cup with saucer measures 2.25ʺ high

An unusual late 19th C Chinese teapot of quatrefoil form applied with a bamboo form spout set opposite a bamboo handle. Decorated around the sides in shades of blue and white enamel with flower heads on mint green scrolling foliage, the flattened cover is similarly decorated and surmounted by a leaf form knop. A wonderful item for the collector of Chinese porcelains. Measures: 8" long, 4.25" wide, and 2.5" high.

Set of 8 Chinese porcelain plates, each decorated in Kangxi style with a peacock standing in a landscape with its tail fanned out and encircled by an elaborate band with fan and lozenge shaped vignettes of blossoming and fruiting sprigs within diaper bands. All in excellent antique condition with very little wear to the enamels. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines. Measure 8.5" diameter x 1 high.

The design references are all Chinese from the Kangxi period (1662-1722). However, virtually every larger piece of Japanese export porcelain from the mid 18th century to the mid 19th century will be found to have one or several spur marks...

Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain bowls with custom stands. In excellent antique condition, the dishes each measure 8.25" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" high. Displayed on the stand, it measures 6 inches high. There is one tiny chip to the rim which, if you look carefully, you can see it in the last photo. One of the stands is missing a small piece of wood, but it does not affect the stability of the stand. Rare to find such an attractive set of bowls...
