18C Chinese domed jade plaque carved in low relief with Buddhist auspicious symbols. Color is a whitish pale celadon. It is carved very, very thin with two sets of small holes to the back edge. This may have been attached to clothing or fabric or, perhaps, attached to a large ruyi scepter. Condition is excellent and it is wonderfully translucent. Measures: 4" x 3.25".

The lid and vase are nicely hollowed inside. The birds are fly catchers amongst flowers stems and leaves showing some stunning markings. Wonderful Late Qing, Early Republic era Peking glass pink snowstorm snuff bottle with a layer of black, then white, hand carved so that both colors can be seen clearly. The subject matter being fishing with a man and 2 boys, sea life, a boat, trees, birds and of course a big flopping fish. Impressive hand carved and polished Lapis Lazuli carving of Shou Lao, the Chinese deity of longevity, standing with others, including a deer, on a log boat. Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.

An eye catching multi-colored jade carving of a koi fish leaping from the water amongst a grouping of lotus plants. The fish, lotus buds, seed pods, stalks and large open flower heads have excellent polish throughout, even in the hard-to-reach areas. The jade stone consists of very attractive colors such as shades of lavenders and light blushes, white, emerald green, apple green with a few tiny areas of russet and then several fine green lines in the koi's body. 1970's Chinese off white, pale green, and lavender jade carving of a bok choy, two bugs on a leaf, and with the lavender part of the carving being in the form of persimmons.
