Engraved Chased Sterling Coin Purse Chatelain stock #SFcoinPurse

A magnificently hand chased and engraved sterling silver coin purse in a most unusual shape. Dates circa 1875. When opened are 2 slots for coins and a compartment for folded bills or notes on the left. On the right is an oval frame that may have held a photo or mirror. The purse closes perfectly and it has a mesh wrist strap attached. The case measures about 4" long x 2" wide. The total measurement including the strap and tassel is about 11" long. The only condition issue are 2 kinks in the mesh wrist strap. This is rare fantastic piece that would please any collector. |
