Late 19th century alabaster statue of a lovely maiden. With her arms outstretched she studying a small bump on her finger. Probably Italian, condition is very good with some minor old dings expected with age, but most notable is a large chip on the back side of the base (see last photo). The price has been adjusted accordingly. Having a wonderful patina that only comes with time, this beauty measures about 18 inches high.

Circa 1850, an extremely rare water/medicine dropper figurine of one of the eight immortals, he is Lu Dongbin, usually identified wearing a sword on his back. Lu Dongbin is highly venerated throughout China, and many local shrines have been built in his honor. At first you would think this to be a ewer, but there is no lid, only a protruded side hole where the thumb is placed over it, to control the water flow. A rare, circa 1875, Sheffield silver asparagus dish with hot water warmer by Elkington & Co. An elegant dish perfectly designed to compliment any silver pattern, it is in excellent condition with no loss to the silver. Fully hallmarked on the bottom, this asparagus dish measures about 9.25" long (with handles 12" long), 6.25" wide, and 3.5 " high (with finial 5" high).

Rare blue sharkskin porcelain tea caddy with a bird, flowers, and butterflies. The bird and butterflies are glossy and do not have the sharkskin texture giving this piece a beautiful contrast which was not an easy feat for the artist to achieve. The blue background graduates from light at the bottom to darker shade of light blue at the top. Signed and in excellent condition, it measures 6 inches tall with lid on.

A scholar's drum shaped porcelain water pot for calligraphy which doubles as a scroll or paper weight when not in use. The top is decorated with a depiction of the sun and there is a line of tiny raised dots around the top and bottom representing drum nail heads. In good antique condition with a few nicks around top inner edge and expected amount of wear to raised areas. Measures 3.25" diameter x 1.5". Circa 1700's

A very nice Chinese hardwood lid for a jar. Wood unknown, but is the color of a dark rosewood. In excellent condition, the lid measures 3.25" diameter by 2.25" including finial. Fits an opening 1 5/8th inches or larger".

Japanese scholar's bronze water dropper in teapot form decorated with shishi dogs. In excellent condition with a wonderful warm patina that is sure to please, it measures 1.75" in diameter (2.25" across including spout) x 1.5" high (2" high with handle up).

A beautiful sapphire blue Qianlong period (1736-1795) small wasted and broad shouldered jar. The cobalt blue mimics the old heap and pile effect of the earlier Ming dynasty. The glaze has a silkly smooth texture typical of early 18th C. porcelains. The white patch at the neck area is a clay slip that was partially glazed and was not scored because of a slight depression in the affected area. Early 20th century Chinese hand made moss green pottery storage jar featuring an unusual cut out in the lid for easy lifting. The jar interior is glazed dark brown with the rim having a clear glaze. The green glaze is thick and rich. The lid has 3 small chips on the exterior unglazed part of the rim that can be studied in the photos, otherwise in excellent condition. This is a very special jar measuring 6 inches, 7 inches diameter.
