Rare glass master salt cellar in the shape of a flower with a matching spoon in the shape of a shovel. It is in excellent condition. Early 19th C bronze Southeast Asian betel nut cutter in the anthropomorphic form of Garuda, a bird-like creature in Hindu, Buddhist and Jain mythology. Garuda is believed to be a powerful ever watchful protector with the ability to swiftly go anywhere. The blade is slightly bent from years of use, otherwise in very good condition, this cutter measures 6" long, 5" high, and 1.75 inches across the wings.

Beautiful Chinese rosewood box with an older porcelain plaque inset in lid. Very well constructed with curved dovetail corners, the lid framed the porcelain painting. Rare matching set of sterling silver and blue guilloche enamel cufflinks, 6 stud buttons, and two hinged hat pins in their original box from Birks Jewelers of Canada. A Tibetan bronze flaying knife or chopper with a curved steel blade used in rituals by Buddhist Vajrayana priests. The flayer was a symbolic instrument and never used to really chop or flay people. Hence, the blade is dull. The blade has oxidized on both sides and there is some verdigris inside the top of the handle. Measures 6.75 inches x 7" high. Dates 1800's.

Old Japanese water dropper, suiteki, in the form of a scratching rabbit. A water dropper is a small container that was used to hold water which was added a drop at a time to an inkstone when grinding an ink stick. Today we enjoy and collect them as works of art rather than using them. In excellent condition, our little hare measures about 2.5" long, 2.75" high, and 2.75 inches front to back including ears.

Please note that the grey spotted rabbit has red pupils. This is a high quality men's haori and is in excellent condition. The jacket measures 54 inches across the shoulders by 44” long.
