Chinese polychrome figural roof tile mounted on a wooded display stand by artist K. Y. Lin. This clay roof tile depicts a warrior riding a bird, probably a flycatcher or phoenix. Measures about 14" high x 14" long x 4.75" deep.

Early 20th century Chinese hand made moss green pottery storage jar featuring an unusual cut out in the lid for easy lifting. The jar interior is glazed dark brown with the rim having a clear glaze. The green glaze is thick and rich. The lid has 3 small chips on the exterior unglazed part of the rim that can be studied in the photos, otherwise in excellent condition. This is a very special jar measuring 6 inches, 7 inches diameter.

A very fine dark brown Yixing teapot with hand carved and applied branch and flower motif. It is signed both under the lid and on the base bottom. In perfect condition, No cracks, No hairlines No restorations, it measures 6" high, 5" pot diameter, and 8" across.

A large shiwan (shekwan) sculpture of an Aesthetic riding a pomegranate red foo lion. The glaze is thick and glass-like with a natural crackle that only comes from age. The clay’s color and some ash residue (a good thing) indicate that this piece was fired in a dragon kiln about 5 - 15 miles upstream from Foshan. The Immortal’s robes are glazed with a rich translucent celadon color. There are two peaches at his side and he is holding a single peach in his upright hand...

It is said that he mounted an ox and headed west, before leaving, the border guard asked if he would write down his ideas, which Laozi obliged to do, thus he wrote the Tao-te ching (Book of Changes)...

A very attractive Chinese stoneware jar with a wide ribbed body. Hand crafted with a dark celadon glaze, the inside which is brown is also glazed, can hold liquids, and can be used as a vase. In excellent original condition, no cracks, no hairlines. Circa 20th Century, it measures 8” high x 8.5” diameter, mouth measures 5" across.

Richly glazed in deep blue this Chinese jar has a dark brown glazed interior to accommodate liquid storage. The lid has an embossed Chinese symbol for longevity which suggests to me the jar's intent was to store something special for your health and well being. 19/20th C, finely rendered Chinese Shiwan (Shekwan) pottery statue of a seated man holding a bamboo pipe traditionally used for tobacco. Pair Chinese green glazed ceramic storage jar with a globular body. The interiors are also glazed as well as isthe inside of the lids. Embossed CHINA on the bottom, we date them circa 1900. In good condition, one lid is damaged, see last photo, but it is glazed over with a clear glaze, so it was fired this way. Measures 7.5 inches high including lid, 7 inches diameter.

Simple and refine elegance is what best describes this zisha yixing teapot of the 19th century, pure Chinese with little or no adornment, except a little calligraphy. Large green glazed Shiwan pottery teapot in the shape of a water bucket with a pour spout, small lid, and carrying handle. In very good condition save for a tiny flea bite on the spout, it measures about 10.5” high (to top of handle) x 9" diameter (10” across including spout). Dates circa 1885.
